The Athletics are getting production from top to bottom in their lineup, which almost always leads to playing competitive baseball.

A's starting pitcher Brett Anderson is gem, and he looked very good going 6 strong last week versus Seattle; I fully expect him to build on that and go 6-7 solid innings tonight (he pitched terrificly at Safeco in 09').

I would not be surprised if Mariners' starter D. Fister improves on his 4 inning performance last time out vs. Oakland, however, the Mariners just aren't hitting ... and Anderson is not going to make it easy for them to get back on track.

A's should be able to muster up 3-4 runs and make the successful pitching bridge from Anderson to Ziegler to Bailey ... all three of whom looked sharp versus Seattle last week.

Last night starting A's pitcher Duchsherer gave the bullpen a nice rest going 7.1 innings.

Yep, this is as close to a sure thing as you can get. M's have one of the most anemic offenses I've ever seen. It's hard for me to say that as a life-long fan, too. Anderson made them look ridiculous last week, and I see no reason why he won't do the same tonight.
