I like them but can't pull the trigger. Seattle just faced Anderson 5 days ago. He shut them down but its always easier facing a pitcher the 2nd time...especially in such a short time period..they have seen all his pitches and its fresh in their minds.

well that didn't work for Tigers against Bannister who was in the same situation. I jus treally like this A's team. I like the A's tonight.

yea ... I was kind of leaning towards the A's but finally decided not to pull the trigger. It's a late game, so I might decide in favor of it later tonight

Thing that scares me is the line hasn't moved at all. I would have thought betting would be heavy on Oakland.

brett anderson is the real deal! don't let the fact that he is slotted #4 fool you. he is probably the ace on this team with solid starters.
fister is journeyman type, #5 starter/ long reliever.

a's are hot, they are hitting up and down the lineup , a's have a great bullpen.
m's are pretty cold right now, 2.6 rpg. 2 up 6 down.

only the 9th game of the year but a's runs for 5.4/ runs against 3.1
seattle 2.6/4.9

its gambling , but a's are looking good tonight. --good luck all!

I am one of the biggest A's fan here, East Bay native. Season tickets to A's for many years. Just trying to say....I love the A's.

I love Anderson, one of the top 5 lefties in baseball.

But I think there is good value on Seattle tonight. Not enough games to get into run scoring trends, IMO.

Seattle opened on the road and is back home, laying a dud in home opener. Teams often reverse results in second game of series, particularly if home team lost first game. This is a good opportunity for Seattle to bounce back and get a win. Anderson being on the hill is what adds the value to the play.

I could be wrong, Seattle continues to scuffle, Anderson shows again why he is a rising star. And I lose. But I'm going with Seattle for the bounceback win.

GL whoever you decide to play tonight.

love tor at home 10-1 h2h, floyd 0-3 7.54 era vs jays. Like Oka BA good h2h, Fister is shakey. Oak playing well, might ad this one later on. Like NYM with Maine, who is good h2h and Smith off poor outing, doggie looks tempting

I don't think Seattle can hang against Anderson. Anderson was projected to be a #1, MAYBE #2 starter, and he's delivering on it. Also, I'm the biggest A's fan here @)

I am a HUGE mariner fan, and i will be playing against them tonight... they haven't been producing much lately, and it seems like the A's and Anderson may have their number (right now) {that last part is hopeful that its not all year} GL

I'm playing Seattle again tonight after losing with them last night. This forum is ALL OVER Oakland tonight just as they were the Braves yesterday. I won't make the same mistake twice in a row and join them in a 17-2 loss or whatever it was

Thing that scares me is the line hasn't moved at all. I would have thought betting would be heavy on Oakland.

Line started -117 at pinnacle and is now -138, so it moved quite a bit.

I really like the A's here: There offense is doing ok so far, if you take Andersons 1st start of 2009 away (he missed some time during spring back then, so I don't think he was 100% back then), he owns a 1.86 ERA against SEA in 5 games including a 6IP shutout in his first start this season.
So I'm not scared of SEA having him figured out because of last weeks start.
Fister has missed time this spring because of being struck by a comebacker on his throwing arm and his control in his 1st start seemed like he needs a few more starts to get back to 100%.
I would also rate OAKs bullpen higher than SEAs, so at least anything better than -125 was playable.

Can't see the M's getting to Anderson tonight. He made them look so ridiculous in his last outing. Everyone has been making them look ridiculous at the plate lately. It's extremely painful to watch night-in, night-out. The only player doing anything right now is Franklin Gutierrez, and he's a stud, but hes obviously not capable of carrying an entire offense. I am a die-hard M's fan, and I will be on the other side tonight as well. BOL :toast:
