Cake

I connect to Cake through sports.com. I go to log on today to play a few games and it tells me there's an update. That happens often so I click "ok" and then I log in and it's not Cake at all anymore. The website now has its own poker room and its horrible.

It looks like they were tired of going through Cake and wanted to make their own money so they developed their own software. I think I'm withdrawing all of it today. Can't stand the software. I have no clue why after so many years sites decide they just want to change a good thing.

Anyone experience this as well?

They left Cake and went to MERGE. Merge pretty much sucks but they are getting a lot of new players tonight. Hopefully they bought the entire network and will make some changes.......

Yes PPP, it's horrible. The software looks very shady.

Held me understand how they'll get new players from doing this?

They wont get new players but they move all of theirs....Something happened with Cake, sportsbook.com, playersonly,etc were the biggest skins on Cake network. So they fell out over something and sportsbook just left.

So going to MERGE wasnt part of their plan to get more customers just the only option they had left once they left CAKE..

Yeah, I like Cake but MERGE IS horrible.

I think you will find the games on Merge a little easier than Cake. Also they are supposed to be making a major software change later this summer I heard. I played it the last few days and with the additions of the new sites the games have actually been pretty good. Also, I think you will find that the bonuses are better with Merge networks of course I wouldn't play through a site like you are and would want to play through another one where I can get rakebake. I do like that they pay rakeback each day. Of course if you are mainly playing to play tournaments I could see why you would hate it as there tourneys suck but from posts on other forums it does seem like with the influx of new players they are trying taking suggestions and trying to add more tourneys of what people want. I'm trying it for a few cash games just to see how it goes for a bit and see if they maintain or grow the player base.
