Why would a thread get closed...

I've never noticed a thread get closed before. The thread about the baby who was abused/sexual harassed the other day is closed. Some people might care about the outcome for the baby and the man who is accused of the crime.
I just don't get being told "it is time to stop talking about it." It happened two days ago.

Who said anything about making a difference. I've just been following the story and was surprised it was closed, esp in the RR. I'll go back to seeing who licks butthole, lol.
