I have probably gone through about 6 mattress sets in 10 years. Ive tried just about everything. Ive tried just about every major brand of innerspring (all went bad within 2 years). Tried the memory foam (this hurt my back the most). Tried spending close to 3k, etc. etc. etc.

Seems like I cant win here. Doesnt matter what brand or how much I spend, I cant find one that lasts.

I was thinking of trying the Sleep Number from Select Comfort, but the reviews I have been reading online are horrible. Many are disappointed and think they are a major ripoff.

Anyone find a mattress you are happy with and that has lasted for longer than 2 years without starting to hurt the back?

I havent owned a mattress in years. I sleep on my futon. Although I will say this is a top of the line 7 inch with steel springs.

Yes.

Usually you can feel things ou at the mattress store. Did you not do that with your last 6 mattresses?

Seriously?

Of course I checked them out in the store first. I like them all. Thats why I bought them.

2 years later is the problem. None of them last.

About 10 years ago I bought a Sterns and Foster. It wasn't cheap at about 2800 bucks, its one of the best things I ever bought. Worth every penny.

Got some advice from a couple of people who I knew who had purchased two of them in 60 years, all of them were Sterns and Foster.

What do they put in higher end hotel rooms. Some of those are great, and I bet they aren't replaced in two years.
