Bonus Play Question

I made 4 wagers using some Bonus Play money.

Singled 1 game and then took all the other combinations of the other 2 games.

I received an email from the book saying the wagers were voided since I took both sides of a game. My reply was that the wagers were in a parlay where I did take the same game in each of the parlays so it was possible for me to lose all of the wagers.

Opinions?

thanks....

If you took both sides, you had to lose one. Thank them for cancelling your bets.

I made 4 3 team parlays. In each of the parlays I used the same game. for the other 2 games I took all combinations.

if the game I singled wins... i'm guaranteed to win 1 of the parlays. if it loses I will lose every parlay.

I'm not going to mention the book until I hear back from them.. I just wanted to get some opinions to see if I am totally off in my thinking.

maybe it didn't post properly then ?

Anyhow, I think this parlay method is fair, as it doesn't guarantee a return, like the 3 teams/ 8 ways method. It is basically that system modified so instead of turning $150 FP into $75 cash guaranteed, you now have a 50% chance at $150.

If the book doesn't want that, OK, they can make the rules.

Here's an alternative method that at least gets the proper +600 odds.

Pick 5 sides/totals.

Round robin those into 3 teamers ( 10 plays), 10% on each parlay. You'll need to hit 3/5 or better to collect, but 4/5 or 5/5 pays really well. No way can the book claim you're playing both sides.

It's their Bonus Play. It's their rules. Anytime you are given something "free" play by their rules. Asking questions or arguing over their rules is asking for trouble.
