A Score in the First Inning Stats....

I'm tracking "A Score in the 1st Inning" stats, for those who like to play this prop.

View attachment 9698

Pittsburgh has scored in the 1st inning in 7 of their first 11 games, and unbelievably the Cubs have yet to give up a 1st inning run!

Not trying to be a party pooper here but without looking at anything else but the Cubs. The Cubs gave up 6 runs in their first game of the season against Atlanta on 4/5.

I am keeping a different variation of this from opening day and know that it was 6-3 after 1 inning Atlanta.

One other thing I am going to suggest is that you double the attempts in the first inning since two 1/2 innings are played.

You are giving 1 for scoring and 1 for against.

What would you do if 10 games were played and the team scored in all 10 first innings and also gave up runs in all 10 first innings. You would have 20 scores in 10 innings and a 200% ratio.

Just food for thought and not trying to be a smarty or anything, just trying to help so the ratios come out cleaner. I am also doing a 1st inning thread but a bit different as I am counting runs scored for both teams instead of as single teams.

Good luck :)

Will do, thank you.

I'll have it broken down on a new chart.

Sorry guys.

Going with teams playing each other that are 55% and up for the YES, and teams 45% and under for the NO.

Today's plays will be:

A Score in the 1st Inning YES
FLA(58%)/PHILLY(75%)

A Score in the 1st Inning NO
COL(45%)/ATL(36%)
HOU(36%)/CHICAGO(27%)
KC(45%)/MINN(42%)

I'm waiting for the lines to come out.

A Score in the 1st Inning YES
FLA(58%)/PHILLY(75%) -130 LOST

A Score in the 1st Inning NO
COL(45%)/ATL(36%) -120 LOST
HOU(36%)/CHICAGO(27%) -145 WON
KC(45%)/MINN(42%) +100 LOST

1-3 -2.50

I would of been better off just taking the NO for the bottom 4 teams yesterday as they went 3-1.

Thanks guys!

One more play, although its the highest chalk I've seen yet, but then again total is set at 11.

PHILLY/ARIZONA YES a score 1st inn -145

Phillies (63%) vs. Arizona (63%) playing in Arizona where the "Yes" is 7-3 (70%).

I'm hoping for the quick Home Run.

PHI: N. Figueroa (1-1, 2.45)
Figueroa making his first start of 2010, has faced the current Diamondbacks only a very small amount of At Bats, but standing out was facing Mark Reynolds only twice, and both times Reynolds took him deep. (Reynolds bats cleanup though). ARI Leadoff hitter Kelly Johnson hit 2 HR's yesterday.

ARI: I. Kennedy (0-1, 5.65)
Ian has already been tagged for 4 home runs in just 14.1 innings pitched, which is good news for leader Chase Utley! (Chase bats 3rd)

Philly is ranked 4th in hitting, Arizona is 7th.
