This morning on talk radio, I heard the european nations involved are losing, according to this segement, 215 million dollars a day due to the strangle hold the ash has on the region. I though this figure to be a little high evne though it does have to be costly. 215 million is rougly 1/5 of a billion and that is what it cost to fight a war in Iraq each day. So this thing if the report was true and the number is correct cost 1/5 of what if cost to fight a war. That is some high dollar ash.

The segment I heard on public radio this mrning said this thing is costin the European Nations involved 215 Millions dollars a day while the ash has a stranglehold on the region. I though this number to be high. The situation, while no doubt costly, the number quoted is roughly 1/5 of a Billion dollars and that is what it cost to fight a war in Iraq everyday. So are to believe that this situation is costing 1/5 of what it cost to fight a war on a daily basis. That is some high dollar ash.

Thinking of doing this too.

LIers open their home to family stranded by volcano

That's what Sueli and Bruce Barton decided Saturday night when they drove from their Huntington home to Kennedy Airport to offer lodging to a family stranded by ash from an Iceland volcano that has stalled air travel in and out of Europe.

its a sunny day here in Toronto but I heard the smog cloud might be coming out way.

There were already a couple of planes in the air again today, at least here in Munich and airlines like Lufthansa also received special permits to fly (below their normal travel height).
