World Cup right around the corner - which Group is toughest.

its going to be a great tourney, and i agree with you on the toughest groups, no arguments against!

3rd toughest is a split between three groups imo.

Group A should be some great games as there is no clear favorite. I like Mexico to win the group with South Africa finishing second. It took a handball to get France here and they struggle to score with so much talent. I have them in third place with Uruguay finishing fourth.

Group B should be led by Argentina with Nigeria finishing second. I expect Greece will finish third in the group and South Korea will struggle to score and finish fourth.

Group C I have no doubt England will win. I would not be suprised if Slovenia finished second in the group and then the United States to finish third in the group. I doubt Algeria will win a game.

Group D I have Germany finishing first but they should have a great game against Australia. I expect Australia to finish second with Serbia in third and Ghana in fourth.

I think Group E is wide open and one of the toughest groups. I like Japan for first place with the Netherlands finishing a close second. Cameroon should grab third place with Denmark in fourth.

Group F should be run by the Italians with Slovakia in second place. Paraguay will land in third place with New Zealand in fourth.

Group G will have Brazil outscoring Portugal for first place. North Korea will land in third behind Portugal and Ivory Coast will finish in fourth.

Group H should be one of the highest scoring groups. Spain should land first place in the group with Chile landing in second. Switzerland will struggle on the defensive end and finish third in the group. Honduras will finish last in the group.

You honestly think North Korea will finish ahead of Ivory Coast? I like them to advance in that group.

south africa is going to have a hard time to get out of the pool, because the other 3 teams have more quality, the only + i can see for sa is the home crowd. my prediction france and mexico will go through.

group b argentina the favs without a doubt finishing top spot. nigeria isnt the team it once was, they dont have that magic, that they had when kanu and the boys were rocking. south korea is not playing for the next round, but greece sure is. they can shutout their opponents, play physical, so i think they have a chance to claim that second spot.

group c england the favs, and slovenia the runner up. these guys play hard, kicked russia the hell out of the tourney, scoring like crazy and can shutout the opponent without a problem. scoring a lot from corners and fk's.

serbia plays solid football, offense and defence, lots of quality, so i respectfully disagree on your prediction in group d. i expect oz to be 3rd, because they're not as good as they were with hiddink. germany wins this pool.

group e netherlands going to be first without a doubt, they've the quality and the experience, lots of talent. gun to my head i would say cameroon second if eto'o has his good days, because the team depends on him.

group f i like italy and paraguay..the para strikers are going to make it or break it. slovakia and nz are not candidates for the second round imo.

rooney, how can you say ic will end 4th in that pool????? sorry, but i strongly disagree with you on this one, because i think ivory coast has, as an african country, the most chances to win the wc. they have drogba, kalou, keita, toure, eboue, zokora a lot of talent that play in the top leagues in europe. how can you put them below north korea????? 1-2 for brazil and crisro&co.

Toughest group should be G.
Also surprised you all seem so sure about Germany winning their group.
They have an goalkeeper without much experience and their offense is crap, at least as long as Löw is starting with Podolski+Klose: Podolski has scored 2 goals so far this season and Klose doesn't even play for his club Bayern Munich because he can't get passed guys like Olic...
I'm not really high on that team.

I would love to see the Netherlands win it all and their offense is great, but defensively they are (once again) vulnerable: Without van der Sar their goalkeeping is below average and their defenders have been their weakest part for several years now and I honestly don't see that having changed...but their midfield and forwards should make up for it in most of their games.
