It's called SHADOW INVENTORY.
These are people who are wanting to sell but aren't getting the price they desire for their home. They're holding hoping the market goes back up (it's not) and are putting their homes on the market for prices they aren't going to get for it.
There are a TON of people who wish to sell but don't NEED to sell. When the wish becomes a need, our market will correct. So much inventory sitting around in the banks who are holding onto foreclosures as opposed to selling them like they usually do, thanks to the Government giving them billions.
You will be seeing more and more homes on the market the next coming months as it's selling season.
