Very questionable moves recently signing Alge Crumpler who hasnt been able to hold onto the ball the last three years, and now Torry Holt who seems to have nada left due to his cartilage problems in his knees.

This team has serious WR issues right now and the Jets look like a powerhouse IMO in 2010.

I think its their arrogance, which they have had for years, catching up with them. Refused to pay branch, vinatieri, law, samuel, etc etc.

The team/front office/coach always wanted the credit, and never gave the players enough of it.

Pioli was a smart guy, but Bill was and is the one calling the shots.

The vets they let go were all smart moves. None of them did jack on other teams. Samuel has had some success, but is he worth 10 mil a year? No. Law was one I didn't like to see leave, but his asking price was too much.

Don't think the Crumpler and Holt deals are too pricey and wouldn't be surprised if neither are on opening day roster. At the very least, Holt can mentor the young WRs.

Jets should win the AFC East pretty easily. Jets are the Team to reckon with now in the AFC East. Patriots may be third best in that division now.

Thats the basic bottom line but I have had a problem with alot of their moves in the past few years. Boy, they could really use a player like ..... Richard Seymour? When they shipped Ty Law I was loving it, never liked the guy as a person but very good player. THe Pats are notoriously cheap and I don't blame Moss for saying what he said a couple months back. The Joey Galloway thing was a joke also. Come on Kraft, PAY UP!!!

my opinion is that they lost too many good coaches over the years...they may not have been good head coaches, but they were great ass't coaches.

Everything they touched was gold....law of averages caught up.

You had to respect the experience those guys had...

It certainly seems like Pioli had a wholemore to do with Belichiks success in NE than given credit for.........just seeing how well he has drafted and run the KC organization in his little time there.

They lost too many good defensive players and the draft picks they made to replace them haven't panned out.

Patriots First Team to Clinch Playoff Spot

The New England Patriots are officially the first team to clinch a playoff spot in the 2010 NFL season, while the New York Jets were tripped up while trying to advance and have little chance to win the AFC East or get a home playoff game.
The Patriots' 36-7 win over the Chicago Bears leaves them with the AFC's best record, at 11-2. Their magic number for winning the AFC East division is one and the Jets would be forced to play on the road for the duration of their own playoff encounters.
It's a far cry from six days ago, when the Patriots knew that losing to the Jets on Monday Night presented a nightmare scenario in which they could tie for the best record in the NFL, but still lose the division to the Jets and get no playoff games at Gillette Stadium.
But now just one Patriots win will relegate the Jets to the bridesmaid spot and hand the Patriots the division crown and a first-round playoff bye. The Pats' remaining games are Sunday night against a Packers team the just lost to the Lions, at Buffalo the day after Christmas, and at home against Miami in another probably-bad weather game on Jan. 2.
It will be the Patriots' eighth trip to the playoffs in the last 10 years.

Belichick should get COY for the job he's done rebuilding this team, while still contending for it all.

I didn't know that we had real NFL GMs on TheRX!!!

Wow

Oops. Didn't realize that they weren't really GMs. After all, they seemed pretty smart. Especially the ones who kissed Jets ass. If you guys ever sell your picks, let me know. I need a couple of more people to fade.

Question for Pioli's ball washers:

List any non-first round draft pick that Pioli made in his last three years that made an impact?

... there are none!!!!
