maybe im crazy and yall will tell me im being cheap and a mod will move this.

sportsbook.com lets you make wagers on live draft picks, they list like 5-8 players at all different lines. Now if a team makes an off the wall selection of a guy not offered, how can sportsbook.com grade all the other player bets as a loss without having a field or other bet option listed.

example:

1st overall pick

bradford -250

clasuen +150

mccoy +350

suh + 800

tim tim tebow gets drafted 1st over all, sportsbook.com grades all the above bets as a loss, pays out nobody and keeps all the cash.

now if they had an option of other/field +325 or whatever i wouldnt argue a bit., But how can you offer a bet that the player has no chance of pushing or winning?

Depends how they word it.

If it's this then it's okay in my book:

1st Overall Pick Sam Bradford:
Yes -300
No (any player but Bradford)

And of course they wouldn't offer a price on "No" in this case but would list it. That's what I'd do if I were a bookie.

no its live draft picks, like chiefs #5 on the clock and then they list like 5-8 players with various juice (but no other or field bet offered) then when a team makes a crazy pick nobody saw coming, the house wins every bet

I don't think it's shady either way I guess. You are betting on Suh to be the top pick (example) and when he's not, you lose. It's not the best way to do it IMO but it still seems okay. Nothing bad but could be cleared up a little.

so am I crazy to think its unfair that they grade these bets as action when all the action was not covered by not having an other or field option?

Anyone else clean up on the live betting on Sportsbook.com last night? I had Twitter up and Schefter leaked a few picks before Sportsbook.com changed the odds. When the Raiders took Mclain I was able to get it at +350. Granted the limit was 100 bucks, but still free money.

They must have caught on because then they started only offering whether it was an offensive or defensive player

sportsbook.com was incredibly shady last night, there were 4 picks i can remember off the top of my head where there was no possible way for anyone to win on that pick, field or that player drafted werent even an option, after the 10th pick or so they changed to offense or defense, must of been bc so many people were complaining and pissed off about those no chance to win picks. sportsbook.com has lost all respect and credibility to me for just screwing its users and taking the money and not offering a good reasoning on those wagers. sportsbook.com however i did like being able to live bet the draft, but my overall rating of this book has dropped from an A-/B to now a D

I think I remember there being a prop at a sportsbook before

Will Armageddon happen?

There was only a line on Yes. Would you be pissed that there was no "no" option for that as well?

The way I see it, you had a choice. Bet or no bet. No one forced anyone to bet!

well nobody ever forces anyone to ever make a bet, but if a bet is placed, the outcome should be covered by one of the options given
