harveys has a bit more on their board, usually open a little later and much better drink service.

if you plan on betting mma theres a little locals type casino just up the road called Lakeside that offers the widest variety of lines.

Lakeside Inn has a race book but it isn't much; Harvey's is a good place but if you smoke you won't like it; it's non-smoking.

Was just there last month. Montbleu and Harvey's are right across the street from each other and are about it. As far as watching games I would give the nod to Montbleu. It's in more of an open area. I have stayed at Harvey's in the past. It's pretty nice.

What time of year will you be there? What games/sports?

Harvey's, Montbleu and Harrah's are the only decent casino's there. Lakeside is a small little dive a few blocks away. Bills sucks, and is small. Horizon is about the same size as the other three, but it's a dump. In real need of a renovation.

I've never been there in the summer. I hear it's packed and about 2.5 X more crowded/busy than the winter season.

Tahoe is awesome! One of the most beautiful places in the U.S.....

As far as the sportsbooks they are all the same no bells and whistles and Harvey s is as good as the next.

If you fish you need to go to the Truckee river on the other side of the lake though and get some german browns.

Also rent some inner tubes and take a trip down the Truckee river.

Take the Gondola up Heavenly Valley have a drink and or dinner and look down on the lake.

Rent an ATV will be fun.

The winter is best as noted above in the summer it takes all day to drive around that lake.

Tahoe is great

Ms. Outhouse and I will be there in June. We're staying in a place close to the border. I probably won't see any football futures up yet, but that would be gravy.

I also like the idea of the non-smoking casino. I also like the tip of the buffet with a view. Thanks.

thekeyman: Thanks for having the picture of Roberto Clemente up. Best ballplayer I ever saw, ask the four 20-game winners on the Baltimore Staff during the '71 World Series. Also ask Bob Gibson and Sandy Koufax, who both said he was the most dangerous hitter they ever faced.
