Seems as if Wainwright really isn't getting the recognition he deserves from the market price of this game. I mean a 19 game winner last year..should have been 20 but he left his final game with a 5 run lead and the bullpen blew it. Last start he didn't even have his best stuff or command and he still went the full 9 innings against the Mets, earning the win. You rarely see a pitcher of his calibur struggle with command 2 starts in a row and that does not bode well for a weak Giants hitting line up. Still not sold on Zito after a impressive small sample size, St Louis should be able to touch him up for a few runs while WW holds it down.

with you man, need to recover from my A's beating and I'm hoping the Cards can help me acheive that.

I'm on it too, which should probably scare you because I have managed to lose about every big bet I've made this year. I'm due though right?

Albert striking out... grounding into DP plays with no outs and runners on base...he's just not himself right now.

Cardinals strand 2 this inning and inning before that Zito struggling with his command walking batters and going to 3-0 counts and freaking Larussa puts on hit and run...what do ya know...strike em out throw em out, out of the inning.

Zito looks off the last 2 innings hopefully we can break through if the Cards stop shooting themselves in the foot.

unbelievable. Pujols strikes out looking. pitch was 20 feet inside and at the ankles. He almost got thrown out of the game.

half their line up owns Zito with very good #'s against em.
Didn't know that and honestly didn't really do any research on this. A buddy of mine who's a huge Cards fan and total thread-head told me SF would be worth a shot against his Cards. "They struggle against lefties."

He's a pretty big homer, so it was enough for me to lay a unit on SF RL and half on ML; even against Wainwright.

why people come in threads and root opposite and celebrate is beyond me? no offense LL, i like you. just dont get it.

but what a joke. Wainwright gives up base hit and the lead to a pinch hitter who was sent in to bunt but forced to swing cause he got down 0-2.

Zito was sick. It seems he has his sharp curve ball back and his Cy Young form back. Def did not see that coming and over looked him. Had no idea he was this sharp again. Really has rediscovered himself.
