You can play any of these teams to win the NL West at 2-1 to 4-1. Arizona, Colorado, LA Dodgers and SF Giants. Or how about San Diego at get this, THIRTY TO ONE. I have no idea why this line hasn't moved down since they are on an 8 game winning streak and although it's very early, the Pads do have the lowest team ERA in the entire National League while LA and Arizona have team ERA's OVER FIVE.

If you want something to follow this baseball season that will pay big if it hits, the Pads at 30 to 1 to win a very weak NL West Division is well worth it. Now remember, all San Diego has to do is win the NL West. They do not have to win any playoff series.

I just added on to my San Diego future at sportsbook.com at 30-1, risking $250 to win over SEVEN THOUSAND. Take a look at some of the other Division Odds and you will see teams like Cinc or Milwaukee at just 12-1 to win the NL Central, which means a better record than St. Louis or the Cubs. Florida is just 8-1 and Atlanta 3-1 to beat out the Phillies in the NL East. Compared to the NL Central and NL East, the NL West is up for grabs, so why not San Diego at 30-1.

I Knew 30-1 Was Way Too High

I don't know if anyone followed me on this when it was 30-1, but if you did you should feel good the line is now is just 10-1. You got great value and the more I see how bad the NL West looks, the more I like San Diego's chances.

Don't mean to rain on your parade sandman, but the Pads are not going to win the NL West this year. They'll stink it up just like every season in the past. The only time when they play great is when they have nothing to play for. $35mil budget, are you kidding me? I'm a Pads fan since '84 and I'm tired of the same old crap different season. Save your money.

You can say that about any of the teams in the NL West. Would I play Diego if they were in the same division as St. Louis or Philly, no I would not. But, regardless of what you say, they have as much chance of winning the West as any team and I am not a Padre fan. I try to find futures with long odds but improvement over last season. Three years ago I won 10 dimes playing Most Home Runs with Ryan Howard at 40-1, risking just $250. He only hit 22 HR's the year before but I don't think many noticed he didn't get called up until mid July the year before.

Risking $200 on San Diego to win 6,000 is well worth it. Sure, they may not win it but just being in the race late in the season is not impossible in a weak division.

LOL.. Now the Padres are 25-1 to WIN the World Series.. Lower odds than you got them to win the division.. 12-1 to win the Pennant..

Donkwin. Where did you find those odds. They are a ripoff and anyone playing a future at that site is making a big mistake. These are the current odds at sportsbook.com to win the NL West Division.

2010 NL West Division -Odds to Win
Sep 30, 2010 17:00 PM PT

ARIZONA +450

COLORADO +225

LOS ANGELES +225

SAN DIEGO +1000

SAN FRANCISCO +200

In additiion, San Diego is 23-1 to win the NL and play in the World Series and they are 50-1 to win the World Series. These odds are about double the odds you saw elsewhere. That's a huge difference.
