I don't care how bad my team is... I just can't see the Brewers being -220 to anybody. I will press my luck with my team working on 18 seasons of Under.500 ball.

Bucco's +200

I hope they don't win b/c I'm on MIL, but long term your bet has to be better than mine. +165 and more is almost always too much value to pass up imo.

you cant see the Brewers being -220 to a team they outscored 36-1 less than a week ago? I can't see how they are ONLY -220!

The Brewers have a run differential of exactly zero -- plus-35 against the Pirates, minus-35 against the rest of the league.

Pittsburgh Pirates
-Team has dropped 6 straight games after winning three in a row. The Pirates have also lost their last 4 road games since beating San Francisco on 4/13.
-Offense banged out a season-high 14 hits on Sunday in Houston.
-OF Lastings Milledge has a career average of .436 at Miller Park. He has hit safely in each of his last 8 games in Milwaukee since going hitless in 6 at-bats on 7/31/07.
-This is the first of 3 visits to Miller Park this year for the Buccos. Pittsburgh is looking to snap its 21-game losing streak at Miller Park, with the last win coming on 5/3/07.
-Dating back to last year, Pittsburgh's outfielders have a MLB-leading 51 assists.
-Each of Pittsburgh's last 8 home runs have been hit by a different player.
-Pittsburgh has gone 7-1 this season when scoring 4 or more runs and 0-10 when being held to 3 or fewer.
-SP Zach Duke allowed 7 runs (6 earned) in 5+innings in a 8-0 loss against Milwaukee's Yovani Gallardo last Wednesday night at PNC Park. Duke allowed 3 home runs in the game.
-Duke won his 1st road start of the year in Arizona on 4/10, but hasn't won two straight away from home since beginning 2-0 on the road in 2009.

yea, I'm a Buc's fan, and as long as we keep batting our pitchers in the 8 spot I'll be betting against my buc's!! WTF is Russell thinking, obviously his little strategy isn't doing a damn thing. I would bet my bankroll when the line-up comes out Duke will be batting 8th. Unless Russell smartened up over night, Duke will bat 8th and all that does is weaken the line-up more than it already is, if that's possible. Yovani is salivating over this Pirates line-up.....wouldn't surprise me if he throws a complete game shut out tonight.

Pirates have no pulse at all right now..... revenge is the only reason I can think to back the Buc's, but that isn't much of a factor for me in MLB

Pitching and defense? Three starters with an ERA 3.00 or lower, defense turns 72.9 percent of balls in play into outs (second in majors). Offense? Nine of 18 games with two or fewer runs scored. :smoking:

I bet the Pirates tonight. Duke gives them their best chance to win. He got blown up by them earlier in the season, I think he'll fair better tonight.

Also took the Pirates tonight....

- That's a long streak (21 games won at home) for the Brewers, I think it's possible it could end tonight.
- Milwaukee is in a bit of a slump. (Obviously not as bad as the Bucs though).
- Duke is sadly one of the Pirates' better pitchers.
- Being humiliated the way they were last week, you'd at least hope the Pirates would be bringing a bit of emotion to the game.

Sorry, but it seems like every reason you listed here is a reason to bet the Brewers?

The Pirates are so good they can get away with batting their pitcher 8th. If you listen to their GM it's their way to leave McCutchen 2nd but get him at bats with men on base like he's batting 3rd. They figure you get an extra 50 AB's a year by batting him 2nd instead of 3rd. I guess that's the math/logic that has the Pirates on a nice 18 year stretch.

Although to go against their own theory they did have McCutchen batting lead off tonight.

Agree with Maholm being their best chance this series.
