Sad to see them go. I use to like going in just for the old school feel.

Use to like binions, but Harrah's ruined it.

Plaza and Main Street still have that old Vegas feel

Ah, the Frontier. Man, I used to get big ass drinks when the cocktail came around. I just came back two weeks ago from Vegas. Now you order a mixed drink and it's like a dixie cup drink compared to years ago. I know that seems petty but I miss my Frontier size drinks.

i use to like the old Dunes hotel.....ck

stayed at the Dunes on my 1st or 2nd trip to Vegas (90 or 92)

rented a nice Lincoln and used valet.

evidently, the valet drivers decided to party in my car. I didn't do anything and didn't mind, but they could have at least emptied the ash trays and thrown out the empty beer cans. Don't make me clean up after you

I still have a book of matches and a Stardust black pen from my hotel room...I was there the last night they were open and when the sports book officially closed and all the tv's went off.....it was actually sad to see...people were in tears...a lot of people had worked there 20-30 years...I bought a polo shirt that I still have that says the stardust on it...best $40 I ever spent...that was the first hotel I stayed at when I turned 21 in 1991....guess thats why it was special.....I made sure I stayed there the last weekend it was open...I flew back out there just to stay there one last time...wish I was there for when they blew it up.....would have been great to see....

If you were a sports gambler and sports junkie, the Stardust was always the first stop in Vegas up until 1993 or so....with the Rose Bowl, Churchill, Barbary Coast, and Gary Austins right behind....
