Tebow sets jersey sales record
Bloomberg News
<HARDRETURN>Tim Tebow, a first-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos, sold more jerseys during the NFL's draft weekend than any other rookie or current player.
<HARDRETURN>While the league doesn't disclose sales totals, the former Florida quarterback logged the most jersey orders since 2006, the first year NFLShop.com joined with GSI Commerce Inc. to expand its online store. Tebow's sales totals eclipsed the previous draft-weekend record of Mark Sanchez, who was picked fifth overall by the New York Jets in 2009.

Tebow is an example of greatness standing right in front of people and they are so messed up mentaly that they can't admit to it or are just blinded by it.

Even professionals are blinded by his greatness because of some kind of emotion. Maybe it's jealousy or they really hate people and hate him for some reason.

Who knows but if this guy isn't anything BUT great I would be suprised.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers continued to lead all NFL players in jersey sales in a new list released by the NFL on Wednesday.

The list, which is based on sales on NFLShop.com, had the Packers quarterback on top, followed by Tom Brady and Mike Vick.

Defensive players took the next two slots. Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, who finished first at the end of the regular season last year, came it in fourth, while Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews was at fifth.

After Saints quarterback Drew Brees at No. 6, three Dallas Cowboys players helped round out the top ten — Tony Romo (7), Miles Austin (8) and Jason Witten (10). Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson came in 9th place.

Lack of seeing playing time hurt two notable players. In the offseason, Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow was in the top 10 of jersey sales at No. 10. As Tebow hasn't played, he has slipped dramatically. He fell on Wednesday's list, based on sales from April 1 to Sept. 30, to No. 24. Peyton Manning, who hasn't taken a snap for the Colts this year, fell from 9th to 13th.

Other players that saw a notable dropoff were Pittsburgh Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger, Rashard Mendenhall and Mike Wallace were in the Top 25 in the offseason, but didn't make the list this year. Hines Ward dropped from No. 8 to No. 25. Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan, who was at No. 24 in the offseason, also dropped off the list.

There's only one rookie who made it into the top 25 in league jersey sales — No. 1 draft pick Cam Newton, who at 16 sold more jerseys than Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.

New names to the list also include Raiders running back Darren McFadden and defensive end Ndamukong Suh, the only player on the 4-0 Lions on the list.
