My father raised in Philly collected many autographs from the great A's teams from 1929-31, mom wants me to see if there is a market for them. Where is the best place to go. 5 Hall of Famers including Lefty Grove & Jimmy Foxx

I would suggest you check with your local sports memorabilia shops or check the net and see if you can find sports memorabilia shows coming to your area.

Have them authenticated by PSA/DNA and if they all pass PM me and I will set you up with a buyer. That will pay you good and buy it all. If you don't want to have them authenticated Pm me and I will give you a email address and you can send me scans and I will see what we can do but you won't get what you would if you had them PSA/DNA. Those auction houses will kill you on fees and I am pretty sure my guys could get you more if they are good.

You can also use a company name JSA to authenticated them. One of my buyers only purchases PSA/DNA but my others respect JSA opinions. If you need more info on how to do it PM me. You maybe able to get JSA to give you a break on the fee's PSA/DNA not a chance on fee break. Just so you don't go in shock the authenticity fees will be about $75 to $150 per item. Don't worry about that because you should be able to make that up when you sell them.

Thanks for the info. I just got this assignment yesterday and have been checking around on the net, it seems Jimmy Foxx's graph is the most valuable. I checked the book and the autographs of the stars are in ink & solid & firm. Not to sound amateurish but how do I PM you. I have no experience in these types of endeavors & hope you can help. I never heard of PSA/DNA or JSA.

On a few sights the price of an index card with Foxx's signature go over $1500 I guess thats what the pros are selling them for not what I could ask for.http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...esult&cd=1&ved=0CBAQBSgA&q=amateurish&spell=1
