an american classic. not a comedy show around right now that could have touched it in its hey day. well at least on reg tv. cable has more room to wiggle.

All in the Family did, Simpson has, i think Cheers probably did, and probably MASH as well, and would guess Happy Days was close too

In September 1979, the show was revamped, and given a new title, Archie Bunker's Place. This version of the sitcom lasted another four years, ending its run in 1983.
