Gonna give this a shot.

$125 to win $100 on NO score 1st inning.
$100 to win $155 on Phillies score 1st.

If the Mets don't score in the top of the first, I'm freerolling. Either I win $30 with a Philly score in the bottom of the first, break even with no score in the first and the Mets scoring first in later innings, or win $255 with the Phillies scoring first in later innings.

Hoping old man Moyer shows up.. Only 1 1st inning score against him in 4 starts this season. He has those random games where he goes 6 or 7 IP with 1 or even 0 runs, I'd LOVE that tonight, lol.

A big part of this is the fact that Gary Matthews Jr. is leading off tonight for the Mets. Leadoff man is HUGE in spots like this, so hoping he is an easy out. Also, the Mets as a team only have 3 HRs off lefties so far this year (Chase Utley has 3 off lefties this year alone..), so I'm hoping it will take a rally, which will be harder without a good leadoff man.

Takin a shot with this, GL.

Forgot to mention, Ike Davis is also out. He has been the Mets best hitter against lefties this year. WITH HIM, the Mets, as a team, are hitting .214 against lefties, averaging 3.2 RPG.

After the "muffed groundball" post, there was no doubt where this thread would go.. I'm sick to my stomach. How is Moyer in the majors?

Ya the pitcher is suppose to "pick the guy up" that made the mistake but sometimes they also can say here's one for you buddy and give up the long ball and more times than not that is the outcome in my experience... ya the play by play and the screw job at the end was priceless and that is gambling! lol

bad beats are rampant in baseball. Let me share my worst beat...

9/2002: Yanks at Sox, Pettitte vs Pedro, 7.5 total. I got under 7.5, for a dime, chasing a dime i'm already down.

bottom 9, score 5-1 Yanks, & Yanks bring in Mo. Should be game over:)<<

Mo goes K, K. 2 strike outs. Nobody on. no problem
Then Mo goes single...triple (run scores, 5-2, guy on third:smoking:)...double (run scores, 5-3, my bet loses:pucking:)

Then Mo strikes out the last batter. Game over, Yanks win, I lose.

My worst was last year.. Not kidding, biggest bet of the season..

Colorado at home against San Diego. I have the Colorado RL -1.5, and they are up 11-6 in the 9th..

Anyways, the guys due up to start the inning were the 7-8-9 hitters.. Batting .235, .267, and .191.. gets to 2 outs, up 4 runs.. One guy in this batting order was batting over .276, team average was about .240. Colorado had a reliever in who had an ERA in the 2.00's and like 0.88 on the road..

ANYWAYS, San Diego puts together the sickest rally of the season, scoring 4 runs, all with 2 outs, against a string of stud relievers, and ends up tacking on EXACTLY 4 runs, and loses 11-10.. NO JOKE!

I'm sure someone else remembers this. Absolutely the worst beat in any sport or gambling situation in my life.. I always wanted to like break a window or something, so took advantage of the situation and punched and shatterred a mirror in my room, then ran about 5 miles. Great night.

Just did some digging.. Here's the box score:

I remember last year I had a 6 team parlay going. All other teams one and I just needed the Twins. The Twins were leading 13-7 in the 6th then suddenly the A's have a 7 run inning and ended up winning 14-13.

^^^^^ That's the same game that fucked me up man.

Funny thing is that Twins got a man home in the 9th that would have tied it up but the ump said he was out.

Yeah, I remember that one, too. That was fucking sick.

The thing about the Rockies was that all the runs were scored with 2 outs in the 9th.. Absolutely terrible feeling. One of the worst I've experienced.
