Guy tries to make amends for his lifelong abuse of the environment by being the leading man for WIND POWER, only to have one of his rigs in the gulf create a national disaster.
BP is a publically traded company, headquartered in London. Boone Pickens is a *person*, trying to get wind energy off the ground and what not, who also was a corporate raider in his heyday.
Or are you? BP is the internationly recognized symbol for British Petroleum. You could have seen him (Boone Pickens that is) this A.M. on IMUS!!! He's a lifelong benefactor of Ok St U!! Know your facts before spouting off.hno:

I don't know why anyone would want a stake in a wind farm..regardless of where it is at. You and Mr. Pickens need to educate yourself on the true validity of wind power as a replacement for fossil fuels. I will save you some time and tell you it isn't happening. All of this mess will do nothing but cost us, the taxpayers, our collective ass. We have plenty of coal/oil here in the United States and offshore, but because of the environmental whack jobs at the EPA (the same people who scream global warming - which I challenge anyone to prove) we will continue to pay out to nose to the ME.
Boone Pickens has made and lost fortunes a couple times in his lifetime. The oil spill is a setback if it involves Pickens. But not something he won't overcome. As for windpower, I guarantee you that the windpower grids are the next big thing in energy. But it will be a slow process. And I doubt I'll see it come into full fruition in my lifetime. But it's going to happen.
