Hey guys, I know there have been threads in the past regarding Vegas and where the best places to go and what not. This thread really is no different but any info you can provide I would really appreciate.

Just to give you a quick run-down. Myself and a few buddies (all mid 20's) are looking to plan a trip to Vegas this summer in month of July or early August. None of us have been so I posted to try and get some opinions. Were gonna be looking to throw down some wagers but also want a good social scene being that were all in our mid 20's.

Any information you can suggest in terms of airfare, hotels or anything you can think of I would greatly appreciate :toast:
Thanks in advance.

Bring lots of cash and plan on leaving it there. Casino,Strip clubs,Bars and good food in which none are cheap. The first time is always the best if you are well funded. Also watch out for the guys selling fake sunglasses and the pick pockets at the bus stops.

first vegas trip always the best, imo.

judging by your age group, and wanting to socialize, you MUST stay on the strip. places i'd recommend for your age group: NYNY, MGM, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Mirage, TI. If you got cash, Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars.

Make sure to go to the Hard Rock for a night!

The palms gets overlooked a lot by being off the strip. But it is a good place to party imo. You really dont ever need to leave the place. multiple bars and clubs located through out the place. But I do recommend staying on the strip for your 1st trip

MGM Grand is overrated. Feels like a mall. Apparently the Venetian has a solid night club. Line was out the door on Friday night if that's your thing. Fremont Street is a must visit if you are on the strip. I'd probably stay downtown. Or at the Flamingo / Bills so you can access the pool.

Definitely make a trip to Ellis Island and get the steak dinner. In-and-Out Burger was solid. Bills has a good deal on Chinese food.

Everything is a $5-10 cab ride away. Monorail is overrated because it's quite a walk to the station from the strip. Bus system sucks.

If you are interested in going to the clubs (and assuming you aren't throwing down some heavy coin), bring some cash.

The clubs are expensive so bring some cash.

Lots of good advice here. But if you really want to talk Vegas, check a forum on Vegas. Something like vegas message board .com is good start.

Planet Ho really isnt a bad choice to stay, its fun, good location

Palazzo has the nicest sportsbook to watch games, Planet Ho sportsbook good too

as others have said cab to Palms or Hard Rock at some point

ghost bar at palms is good. Palms also has a Playboy Club, with gambling

There is just something funny about this thread title to me. Something about the words "virgin" and "input appreciated" together . Maybe I watched too much Beavis and Butthead when I was younger or something!

Stay on the Strip or within a block of it. This means somewhere in between Luxor and Wynn. You don't want to spend your first trip to Fabulous Las Vegas exploring, believe me.
