I am trying something here... It is a chase strategy and there is nothing new to it... just few details that fit my style of wagering...

1. First of all i choose my own teams which i will chase to get a RL win...
2. Only playing favorites...
3. There are more chases going at once...
4. the next chase does not have to be the next game...i'll wait for a decent matchup...

All in all it is very similar to misterMJ's chase and maybe some others with the difference that there are a lot of chases and i won't stop after second chase.

I started betting it about a week ago and it went 9-0 so far with San diego going now to the C bet...

My Initial bet is 0.3% of my BR so i can afford quite a few chases...

Also will be using the labouchere system to spread out any chase that will go beyond bet 5 or so...

Andy,

Good luck with your wagers. I would not call this a chase system, though. You are simply handicapping with certain kinds of wagers. The logic of chase system is that you are backing a good team won't lose multiple games in a row, when favored, after a loss, or to not lose when favored to start a series, and so on. This kind of team should win in these situations, and if they don't they should win the very next game, and so on. It seems like you are just trying to pick spots and use the run line to cushion the risk. I'd worry about how many games you are willing to chase a team--even good teams wind up on significant losing streaks, and chases require additive wagering.

yes mr. pink i know but as i said i wont always chase the very next game... and i think this gives me maybe an additional edge... it might pass a week or more until my next chase but the beauty of it is that i will aways have some good matchups... at least in my opinion... as for additional chasing i am counting on using the labby system and spread the risks... if it comes that far..

we will see...

thats why my bet A is at 0.3% of my initial BR.

all the best

also... what if you were to follow certain good pitchers?
i think that good pitchers rarely go 0-4 or something like that...

Andy,

Good pitcher chase is vulnerable to the team losing: exhibit A = Zack Greinke. Maybe you chase the best pitchers on .500 or better teams/or teams in the upper 33% of offense (to get the -1.5 run wins). This is easy enough to figure out with time, which I don't have right now...Good luck.

I'll try to find the pitcher data if I can find some time (unlikely); ironically, I'm going to be in Europe until June.
