It doesn't really mean much, given that Mauer has a foot injury and is not bothered by swinging a bat. The true test will be sprinting and crouching into a catcher's pose. The Twins may ease him back into their lineup as a DH, but it's not clear if that will happen this weekend. Wilson Ramos will continue to start behind the plate as as the club kicks off a four-game set with Baltimore.
