Has anyone done a study involving major league baseball teams returning home from a long road swing and then, having to "take care of business" with the wife or the live-in girl friend after they return home (we all know how women are) plus the "honey-do" list not to mention the kids.
As Rocky Balboa's trainer said, "sex gives men weak knees".
On the other hand, Roger Banister (the first man to break the 4 minute barrier when running the mile) admitted publicaly many years later that he had sex with his girl friend shortly before the race (in the morning; the race was in the early aftrnoon).
Could this angle be a consideration when trying to handicap teams that begin a home series after being on the road for a couple of weeks?
