I saw sportsbook.com has Kimbo Slice as a pick em against Matt Mitrione tonight in UFC 113.

I gotta think that the novelty that is Kimbo Slice will be over if the once again loses. I mean this will be 3 straight losses for the guy.

Will we see the end of Kimbo if he loses tonight?

He did beat Houston Alexander back in December... Not that it means a whole lot, but he does have a win in the last 6 months

His problem is he has no ground game, at least not yet. Then again, the same can be said of Mitrione. The bottom line for Kimbo is that he isn't really an MMA guy, he's a brawler. The only reason he's even well-known is because of all that backyard brawl b.s. on the Net. Having said that, Kimbo has a good camp with some experienced veterans in it, and he seems to take instruction well, so I think he has a chance.

PS, going with Mitrione. Kimbo has way better technical skills but his chin has been iffy and Mitrione hits hard. Mitrione also has a great chin to go along with a huge advantage in size and reach.

Kimbo looked ripped at the weigh in but Mitrione will win IMO. As long as he doesn't fear Kimbo like Alexander seemed to. Mitrione is more athletic and has a size advantage. He also has a crazy side that comes out in the ring.

I ran into Kimbo at Tootsies in Miami one time and I couldn't get that close to him because of the size of his posse but I did shake his hand and chat with him a bit. He is an absolutely scary-looking human being.

I met Lennox Lewis and some other big-time boxers over the years in Miami and they simply did not look anywhere near as intimidating as this guy.

A writeup from Sherwood's site....

KIMBO SLICE +1.00 over MATT MITRIONE 5Dimes
When I first looked at this fight I thought there would all kinds of value on Mitrione, but this is not the case. Matt Mitrione has unbelievable punching power, which allowed him to knockout prospect Marcus Jones. I wasn't ultra impressed with that fight though, as I have my doubts about the jaw of Jones. The other issue with Mitrione is his cardio, as he tends to gas out very early in his bouts. Kimbo Slice showed discipline and a very good ground game in his decision victory against Houston Alexander. It sure looks like he is taking his training at 'American Top Team' seriously and no one has ever questioned his raw athletic ability. Don't forget that the Slice was knocked off of "The Ultimate Fighter" by Roy "Big Country" Nelson, who went onto win the competition and is now rising up the heavyweight ranks. The UFC wants Kimbo Slice to win this fight and you can rest assured that they hand picked an opponent that they know he can beat. PLAY: KIMBO SLICE +1.00 (Risking 2 units).

Not sure what this means. Hope you are not saying that Kimbo is tougher than Lewis.

Kimbo hangsout with hoods, gangsters, and pimps. He has a big beard but he is a terrible mma fighter. Mitrione will knock him out. Kimbo is what he is. He is a draw and Dana knows how to use him. He will not put him in there to get killed. He will never get anywhere near a title shot.

I am looking forward to the Daley Koshckeck fight more than anything.

I hope Kos losses. I never liked him and do not want to watch him on the next Ultimate Fighter. I think its his hair. Maybe he''l be dumb and try to prove his standup skills with Daley.
