amazing call in pirates game

they call stl runner out at the plate when pirates catcher missed tagging him by 2 feet! I've heard of the "neighborhood" play being allowed on double plays when the interior infielders miss 2nd base by 2 feet but on a tag at the plate?!?!

ump must have the bucs with big + money tonight because he was staring at the play only 10 feet away

I saw that. It would have tied the game.

Imagine if this was a playoff game and it causes the Cards to lose.

This is why baseball needs to come into the 21st century and start using technology when needed. I'm not saying all calls need to be reviewed but in this example it might change the outcome of the game.

if they can hang that camera up and down the field on the moving cable in the nfl and ncaa football..they should be able to rig one from the backstop to above homeplate..so they won't miss calls like this one

the runner (ludwig or ludwick? whatever his name is) lost his mind...could not believe it. they argued throughout the commercial break as it was 3rd out of inning

amazing call. still 1-0 pirates too.
