Dodgers -108
Billingsley and the Dodgers are on the cheap right now. Current form is vastly overweighing true talent in the market price, something that proves costly in the long run. Billingsley has some really poor surface numbers, numbers that are overly skewed by two bad starts about a month ago. The market seems fearful that’s his second half meltdown has carried over into this season. His FIP/ERA disparity and well hit ratio suggests otherwise. Billingsley meltdown last year was a lot more influenced by bad pitching than other variables including bad luck. Expect Billingsley to improve off of current form. He pitched well against the DBacks last year. He matches up well against them too, as he does not rely on the fastball that much, and the DBacks lineup is piled with hitters that sit on fastballs. His inability to go deep into games of late is not terribly concerning from a betting standpoint, as he is backed by one of the best bullpens in baseball. Lopez looked much better in his first three starts compared to his last three. I don’t expect much out of his this year, especially against patient lineups like the Dodgers. He has allowed a home run in every start but one, and his line drive rate is concerning. He has the highest line drive rate in baseball and a very lofty tERA, which is another warning sign. Unlike Billingsley, he is not backed by a solid bullpen that can leverage the starting pitchers risk in this game.

Had them as a medium play. Have been finding some value on the Brewers of late, which partially offset the undervalue bias on the Braves.
