Fox Delays Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Until September

March 10, 2010
by Alex Billington
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

20th Century Fox has announced (via THR) that they are pushing back the release of Oliver Stone's Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps from its originally scheduled April 23rd release date back to September 24th later this year. We've already featured a few great trailers for this movie, but they don't want it out in April anymore. I always thought that was a very early release anyway, I didn't think Stone would even finish it that quickly. Fox has also moved up the release of the Tom Cruise / Cameron Diaz action comedy Knight & Day from July 2nd to the earlier June 25th release date. Some solid and smart date changes from Fox.

When Fox first set Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps for release in April, I was a bit surprised because Oliver Stone had only started shooting at the end of last year, and didn't even finish shooting until December. I'm glad that they're waiting to release until it's completely finished, unlike with Oliver Stone's W., which was rushed to a quick release by Lionsgate before George W. Bush left office. I'm still very excited for this movie

I saw the trailer for it 6 weeks ago when I went to see that Bruce Willis movie.

Looks OK, but I don't know how it can beat the original, "Wall Street" is a classic.
