One of my friends got a bunch of us into the gym last night. We played some 2 on 2 basketball and after 2 baskets were scored three of us were gasping for air (not the one that goes to the gym).

seriously....score 2-0 and someone called timeout to get some water....

Holy shit...that was a sad reality check for us.

I go to the gym 6 days a week, but my cardio is terrible. I'm afraid of doing to much because I feel it cause me to lose muscle.

I'm sure I would have been one of those guys asking for a time out. Definitely out of shape, but slowly working out on the stationary bike. Up to 20 minutes a day.

I got a set of those Navy Seals perfect push ups for Christmas a couple of years ago. I do some every other night and a few curls also. I also try to ride my bike a couple of times a week for my legs. I did eat a New Steakhouse XT Whooper from Burger King for lunch today though. Must have about 1500 calories. Once you get in 40's, it is a very discouraging battle. It seems Father Time will win out in the long run but you have to stay at it.

The first time I ever did squats (I think in high school) I was so proud of myself.

I remember being with my friends and we went to go eat after sitting down for a while. I honest to go could not get up. I had to have someone pick me up and then I could walk only being assisted and could not bend my knees or I drop to the ground....lol....it was pretty humiliating

Balance diet and eat enough you won't lose muscle unless you are doing cardio 2 hours a day, intense.

Read up on it. Heart health is very important.

I'm getting back into lifting now, recently dropped almost 30lbs, still can throw up 175 about 15 times, not a lot, but getting back to where i was at and i do mountain biking 5 days a week.

Workout 5 days a week run 3 miles every other day but then again I'm 21. My dad's the same height as me and overweight I made it a goal to never be like him.

tennis is the way to go for us over 40 peeps..Great way to get some exercise and still have some competition without the pain of jogging or the boredom of some machine. Although not the same cardio workout it is great. Get to a USTA center and sign up it is addictive. And yes I am still out of shape LMAO..sipping on my Crown watching the Celts/Cavs//!~~~!

Looks is 90% diet, 9% working out and 1% cardio

But being in shape to run hoops is like 99% cardio - I see fat dudes that can run 3 miles faster than me

Basketball is a tough workout, especially if you aren't used to the movements. I was a long distance runner and would become gassed playing basketball even for short periods of time until I got used to it.
