Is smoking allowed in most/any casinos in Vegas?Specifically poker rooms/sports books.

What about other regions/cities?

Smoking is allowed. Smoking in the poker room is so nasty. Nothing worse than a total drunk degenerate smoking like a madman at the poker table. Many many poker rooms are smoke free just for that reason. It makes plenty of problems with all the rude smokers.

Been a while since I went to the poker rooms on the strip. I think that just look up Las Vegas poker rooms and they will for sure say if smoking is allowed.


It is just the worse sitting in a poker room that allows smoking. I know here in Detroit Greektown is non smoking. I go there.

Smoking cigs or cigars at the table is nasty, if your gonna smoke, roll a joint & pass it around, haha, j/k!

I smoke cigs but to be honest I do not like being in a smoke filled room either.I usually smoke outside or in a well ventilated area indoors.

You are a considerate smoker. Most are just rude and think that since its not banned they can just smoke like crazy and blow it all over the place. Nasty nasty nasty.

Not sure if there are Any Poker rooms that allow smoking now.

At least I havn't seen one in about 3 years

I know smoking was allowed several years ago when I was @ the boat up in kentuckiana.Haven't been there in a few years though.

Most table games outside the poker room allow smoking. However, Vegas got smart. The ceilings are about 30 feet high or higher so most of the smoke goes way up.

That is, unless you are sitting next to a smoker.

You can grab a smoke as soon as you leave the Poker room. They just don't want it in the room itself.

I would just watch were the button is ( if playing Hold em ) and got up and have a few puffs.

I have always wondered why the poker room is sacred when it comes to smoking? Smoke annoys gamblers and dealers at all of the other tables too but they still allow it.

I guess what little bit of a rake the house gets in the poker room is not enough to put up with a bunch of chain smokers. Since all of the other games are player vs house how dare they discriminate against a smokers dollar. :smoker2:

It's because the poker room is usually kind of Boxed in. It might have 3 or so Walls...so you are Semi- confined.

Also like QL said, the Casino ceilings are High, where the Poker room is not.

As a Poker player for Years.....You always look back and see Guys playing Poker, smoking, Drinking, etc...
