There are quite a few that cash winning tickets betting ponies... problem is, most of them play a lot of races where they aren't cashing every ticket.

Professional losers.

I found out later in life that my Uncle Mike (who spent most of his days at OTB and the Track) lost his ass and alot of what he lost was other people's money.

Someone tells you there a professional horse handicapper there either money loser or a columnist.

Why this is a great action sport. People love betting on College Football with all the games that you have to chose from. Well with the ponies you could get a bet in every 3 minutes.

You think -110 is unbeatable... try -120 or more on most horse bets. The juice is a killer in most states.

There's an old saying that horse players die broke. I tend to believe that.

In sports betting, you only have two teams to decide who to bet. Not so with horses where you might have 15-20 horses in the race.

Very tough. I tried it for a while. You can make some money but a living is next to impossible.

Remember, Your local meet only last 2 or 3 months, then you are looking at travel and living in motels.

You better like reading and studying.
