-The Detroit Tigers are the first team wo win four straight series at home against reigning playoff teams since 1995, when baseball began putting four teams in the postseason.
-The Tigers have an AL-best 14 home wins and are set to begin a two-game series against teh Chicago White Sox.
-Red Sox OF Jacoby Ellsbury is expected to play his first rehab game on Monday, where OF Mike Cameron has been rehabbing as well.
-Minnesota SP Nick Blackburn went seven innings and got his fourth win of the season. The Twins are now 6-1 in Blackburn's starts.
-The Yankees bullpen imploded, beginning with Joba Chamberlain, who went 2/3 of an inning and allowed three earned runs. Closer Mariano Rivera gave up a grand slam, the first he has given up since 2002.
-New York 1B Mark Teixeira is batting .339 with 20 RBIs in 15 May games after hitting .136 in April.
-Yankees OF Curtis Granderson took batting practice and fielded about 15 balls in the outfield for the first time since straining a groin on May 1.
-Texas Rangers SP Colby Lewis has not won in four starts and has received just four runs of support in that stretch.
-Rangers OF Josh Hamilton went 0-for-4 and has struck out nine times in his past 13 at-bats.
-The Reds won for the seventh time in their last eight games, outscoring opponents 49-15 over that span to take the lead in the NL Central.
-Cincinnati SP Bronson Arroyo threw his first complete game of the season and improved to 3-0 with a 2.73 ERA over his last four starts.
-Reds pitchers as a whole have posted a 1.88 ERA over the last eight games.
-Florida OF Chris Coghlan, last year's NL Rookie of the Year, has seen his average climb from .123 on April 24 to .214.
-Marlins starters have given up more than three runs just once this month while going 9-3 with an ERA of 2.97.
-Florida SS Hanley Ramirez went hitless on Sunday and is batting .196 (9-46) against left-handers this season.
-Fifteen of Cleveland's 22 homers have come on the road.
-Atlanta SP Tim Hudson improved to 3-0 in May with his longest start of the season.
-Braves 1B Troy Glaus has moved his average to .283, picking up two or more hits in eight of his last 14 games. He was hitting only .194 when April came to an end.
-Tampa Bay 1B Carlos Pena, who's 3-for-49 and had his batting average drop to .180, did not start on Sunday.
-Chicago White Sox SP Gavin Floyd is now 0-4 with a 7.53 ERA in five starts at Kaufmann Stadium.
