Overall: 92-68 (+42.34 units)
1* 36-29
2* 42-34
3* 12-4
4* 1-1
5* 1-0

3* Angels +129 ( 3 to win 3.87)
3* Twins -118 (3.54 to win 3)

... I also like the Marlins, but not the price with it. Remember, I am trying to be more selective in my picks (taking everything into consideration).

Good luck today!

Jbragg,

I have never -- not even one single time -- gotten a price as good as the one you have posted.

As much as I love THE GREEK, I might have to switch up my book for baseball.

^ the greek is not exactly the best with lines.

Your best interest is to open several accounts and find the best price. I use a local, but I usually see the same lines at other online sports books at the same time.

I use a local as well and usually get pretty close to the same number. I've also found that 5dimes has pretty good baseball lines, especially with their reduced juice on run lines and totals.

Dammit, I was all ready to jump on the rangers today after being swept by the jays. Whats your thinking here?

5Dimes is my main baseball book, and they have lines that are very close to, if not exactly what, JBragg posts.

not really sold on Holland. The guy has been horrid and he has his opening game against the A's.

Kazmir is 6-1 2.05 ERA with a 1.06 WHIP against the Rangers.

I think many people are thinking the same thing you are thinking (Butternuts) and they see this line and think the Rangers will bounce back at home. The oddsmakers made this a "perfect line" for the public.

With that price, I will take the Angels.

When, exactly, has Holland been "horrid?"

his career ERA is 5.86
Last year ... he was 8-13 with a 6.12 ERA

To me that is pretty horrid.

His first start of this season was lights out. He's pitched well vs the Angels, and last year was also his rookie season. Granted it ended roughly (injury), I would hardly classify it as horrid.

Good luck on your bet

Lights out against the A's ... not the most impressive in my opinion.

You asked my opinion ... and I gave it. He has not been good in the mlb yet. The numbers back it up. It doesn't mean he won't be good down the road, but I wouldn't trust putting my money on him at this point.

He was so lights out he went 6 innings.

He's a young, below .500 pitcher. He's pretty bad right now.

I'm not a manager or anything, but I wouldn't pitch someone past 6 or 100 pitches in their first major league start in quite a while.

6 innings, 7k, 0er is lights out in my opinion. Not trying to sway anyone's decisions, just making a point...
