In my opinion, the Tigers bullpen and lineup is overachieving and not priced for the regression I believe is in the cards for them. Combine these two facets with a young pitcher who is struggling on the mound and with confidence, and the Tigers make for a dangerous favorite. I am not sold that Porcello is out of the woods yet after a dominating start against the Yankees. His fastball is still not nearly as effective as it was last year, and until he improves this pitch, he will be vulnerable to some bad starts down the road. The market rarely likes Garcia, but I like how he matches up with this Tigers lineup who is a solid fastball hitting team. Garcia tries to out craft you, which should be advantageous against a lot of their young hitters. Past success against veteran hitters, Damon, Inge, and Laird leaves a little room for the Tigers to put together runs.

I wantedvto tail this but I can't with vizquels .143 hitting second and beckham on the bench... It's not so much that one hitter makes difference.... Just feels on a get away day when u don't put best lineup out there like the manager isn't going to go for the win..... Really makes no sense in 1 game series vs divisional foe

Guillen announced a couple of days ago he was going to give Beckham the series off against the Tigers and rest up. He was not in the lineup yesterday before the ppd either.

Interestingly enough vizquels did get a hit to keep the carousel turning when the first four chisox reached to open the game...

It's an absolute sin rios kd and next hitter grounded into do- that should have been 3 runs minim after first four reached

but I'd expect nothing less from an Ozzie led team

I have backed everyone of Wilson’s starts as I came out of the gates with a bullish valuation on him. So far he has surpassed my expectations, and the market continues to give him little credit. Although Wilson is vulnerable to regression from his current numbers, he has not shown signs of slowdown just yet, as his last solid outing has now made it five straight outings of two runs or less. Pitching in Texas, you are vulnerable to the homerun. Having a pitcher that has yet to allow one all season provides a magnified asset. He has also pitched well against a few of the Angels hitters and is backed by a better bullpen than his counterpart. The market is a bit too bullish on Weaver here. He usually makes for a better play in his home starts. Last year he struggled more against the Rangers compared to years past. Weaver has always been prone to fast Aprils and Mays. A good spot to go against him is in the middle of may when the market is thinking this year he has stepped it up a notch.
