Santana on the mound @ -105 against a struggling Atlanta team with basically a spot starter on the mound.

Johan with a 2.21 ERA against the Braves, but only 1-5. And all 4 games between these two have went under this year, counting the 1-0 game that ended after 5. I like Under, but I'm a sucker for unders.

I like that idea, guess Ive just been pickin the wrong games, then I get sick of bullpens blowing it, so I do first 5, and that loses but game under will win. Shit like that grinds my gears.

if you take away Johans start against the Phillies he would have an era of around 2.20.

that being said the Mets have only won 5 games on the road this year and still have not won a series. Also they have not won a series in Atlanta since 1998.

I think I have to fade my Mets tonight based on what I just posted above. Turner Field has been a house of horrors for them. Atlanta has a bunch of veteran players whos hatred for the Mets goes back awhile, you can bet they are going to scratch and claw tonight to avoid being swept by us for the 2nd time this year.

also Bay has the night off and Cris Carter (who was just called up from triple A) is batting 3rd with Wright in the 4 hole. (14 consecutive games with a strike out)

Anyone know if Bobby Cox has been ejected from a game this year? This is his last year with the Braves. Has he been on his good behavior?

I can understand your thinking on the teams blow it in the 9th and taking the 1st 5 innings, but I like the entire game because it gives you more opportunities to overcome a inning of 3 or 4 runs and still hit a total. Also, many times early runs allow teams to get into a rut and the game just flatlines.

I post on the Play of the Day forum tracker and everyone my plays except 1 has been a total. Did take one over and that was with the wind blowing out at Wrigley this past Friday.

yep and Mets have the tendency to make guys like Medlen (spot starters, rookies) look like Cy Young.

I could see the bullpen blowing this one late as every one in there is pretty gased and probably has a major case of dead arm.

The Braves are 10-6 last 16 games , I would'nt call that struggling. ... as a matter of fact , if i had to describe the braves i'd say they have been piss-poor but seem to be a little hot right now. :ohno:

why do people always feel the need to have a god complex and try to correct everyone and bring negativity into threads?

the Braves are 19-21 overall, regardless if they are 10-6 in their last 16...if you have watched them this year (which you obviously have not) they are certainly struggling and not playing up to expectations.
