Microsoft security essentials,

although there are many threads on this topic here if you search.

free.avg.com is good also, but if you have a legit copy of windows simply use Microsoft security essentials (IMO)

anyone of them is fine really, even the new 2010 Norton gets good reviews finally.

this is only a small factor of wether you will get a virus or not, the true determinor is the user and how careful they are.

(from what ive read anyway)

yeah that's def the key. i didn't use virus protection for years and had very few issues, because of my lack of bad habits. now i use linux and don't really have to worry much.
