leaning towards nats for a small play. a definite coin flip game. neither pitcher has gone deep all season. depends on which bp you prefer to have your money on.

GOING BIG ON THAT NATS!!!!

Nats are going to roll the mets in Nat-Town. Atilano is good, and hes beaten the mets this year already so now I know he can beat them. Mets are in a funk. GL to whatever ya'll choose. I bet on the Nats last nite, and bet big.. and I came out big. :)<<:)<<

imjury? manuel came out to the mound w/ the trainer.. and maine was talking to the trainer and such... but manuel sort of made up his mind without much conversation and pulled maine for valdez... maine was saying something that he could have stayed out there, in the dugout.... so they are mad at each other. jerry is a horrible manager. But i hope this spells awesome news for the nats tonight still. i thought the nats would rock the mets w/ maine in there, i hope valdez doesnt change anything, tho its 3-0 mets at the moment :(

what a fucking day in baseball! This kind of day will be running many out of this hobby. I say I probably wasnt fukked the hardest, since a lot of people put their houses, their bmws, their kids, their family all on the line... where I just put the money I work for....

then you are smart. you play within your means. i never throw money at a play that would take away from my financial obligations. good to see you have money management discipline. it'll turn for you and you'll be playing with the house's money.

I read how people over do it.. and im tempted to go above my means but i know i wouldnt be able to make rent on time, make car payment or something.. and not sure i can afford that risk. Just sucks I throw away all the play money I had for a couple weeks, haha... I guess will just have to work this week and next week to make up for it.. and start over.. grrr

What I used to tell my players was bet enough that it stings a bit when you lose, but doesn't effect the quality of your life. Sounds like your life is good. Just a bad week gambling that maybe stung a little too much. Narrow down your selections and play only the ones you like the most and build up a bankroll. Betting every game on the board 3 or 4 different ways is a surefire way to go broke.

When I closed up shop and began to play I was a little smarter than the average player. Could pick bad numbers that were put out in football and cleaned up. Still stuck to a budget. Granted it was a bigger budget than the average person, but I never chased bad money with good money. The guys with discipline and sound money management are the ones who last and win. You will run across a guy who gets hot, but busts out when he overextends. If you get bored, archive boxslayer's college football threads and you will see a smart disciplined handicapper. Lots of good info to use.
