With an embarrassed "Yup," Sandra Bullock's louse of a spouse admits he cheated on America's Sweetheart in an upcoming TV interview.
"I took a pretty amazing life and marriage and threw it away," Jesse James tells ABC News "Nightline" in the interview, which airs Tuesday.
In his first public statement since his betrayal of Bullock with a tatooed tart was revealed, James says he knows he's universally viewed as a cad.
"I think it's most hated man in the world right now," he says with an embarrassed grin when asked if he's the most hated man in America.
Bullock's soon-to-be ex-husband tears up several times in his interview with Vicki Mabrey, who appears to be having a hard time understanding how James could be so dumb.
"Let me take a break for a second," a snivelling James says at one point.
James, 41, also opens up about what made him cheat, why he went into rehab after the scandal broke in March, and what role he hopes to play in raising Louis, the baby boy Bullock recently adopted.
He also publicly apologizes to Bullock as well as his three kids from two previous marriages.
James' cringeworthy confession comes a month after Bullock announced she was divorcing her husband of nearly five years.
Bullock, 45, who had just won an Academy Award for her role in "The Blind Side," said at the time reports that James cheated on her with the tattooed Michelle McGee ripped their marriage apart - and send her into hiding.
"I had no idea about anything until that day when I got the call," she said at the time. "All I remember is thinking, 'I need to get Louis out of here before the vultures descend.'"
James, a motorcycle mogul, is reportedly selling the beachfront home outside Los Angeles he shared with Bullock and looking to relocate to Austin, Tex., reports People.com. Bullock also owns a house and a restaurant in Austin.
