the Mets biggest problems in recent history have been getting a W in the rubber game. They have not won one this year and dating back to last year, I can tell you its been a LONG time. I don't think that is going to change tonight with all the issues on this team and the manager on the hot seat. It is just way to much to ask. Santana has a career 4.40 ERA against the Yankees while Jeter and Cano have BAA of .400 and above against him with more than 15 AB's. Meanwhile CC is 2-0 against the Mets 1.20 ERA. Do not let last nights performance fool you. this Mets team is still lost and are not going to find their way home any time soon. When facing big spots like this, (a rubber game against in state rival with your ace on the hill and a chance to save the managers job) this team proves time and time again that they crumble. They showed it a few weeks ago going into Philadelphia on a 9 game win streak and in 1st place. Well look where they are now, 2 games under .500 and in last place.
