Rangers - CJ Wilson has been having a solid season thus far. His last couple of starts have been shaky, but I expect him to get back on track tonight considering he's been amazing pitching on the road this season. Also, over his career the Twins lineup hasn't really been able to get to him. Mauer and Morneau are a combined 3 for 21 lifetime against Wilson. As for Pavano, May hasn't been too kind to him nor has pitching at home. The expected top 2-6 batters in the Rangers lineup (Young, Kinsler, Vlady, Hamilton, Cruz) are a combined 18 for 44 with 4 homeruns and 4 walks. Career wise, Pavano has never really brought much to the mound against the Rangers.
Mariners - This game has a lot of gut feeling in it and not nearly as much statistical analysis as the Rangers game for me. Hernandez and Weaver faced off earlier this year and it was arguably Hernandez's worst start of the season and Weaver's best. Over Felix's career he has been effective at Angel stadium. I think the key to this game is for Hernandez to keep his walks down and make the Angels earn their baserunners (he had 4 BB in 3.1 innings in previous matchup). I don't expect this to be an easy win, but my gut says the Mariners take this game, and with the value Hernadez is getting, I couldn't turn myself away.
Best of luck with whatever you decide to play roundrobin
