Leyritz was charged with DUI manslaughter in the Dec. 28, 2007, crash that killed Fredia Veitch, 30, of Plantation, and is awaiting trial.

Both Leyritz and Veitch, who had not been wearing a seat belt, had blood alcohol levels that exceeded the state's legal limit for drivers when the crash occurred about 3 a.m. at a downtown Fort Lauderdale intersection, authorities said at the time.
