Rizzuto was the first Phil that came to my thinking as well. Former Yankee shortstop, followed by his being the longtime play by play announcer for the Yankees. Them Poker Phils play a game, should not even be on the list.

Hughes and Simms are the only ones involved in sports; I know Jackson played b-ball but he made his name as a coach and coaching isn't a sport.
