I have a high four figure balance at Skybook and want to withdrawal these funds. I was alarmed to learn that they would only allow $1K per week and that they would charge me nearly $70 (7%) to make each $1K, weekly withdrawal. So, not only would I have to wait nearly 2 months to get my money, to add inusult, I would also have to pay a small fortune in fees.

Skybook did not seem to have an issue when I was making my deposits!

I am just wondering if this is the norm now in the industry.

I like most everything about Skybook, but this is something that seems different from the rest of the offshore. I too am not crazy about the fees charged. From what I hear, many books allow a free withdrawal once a month, while "standard" seems to be $30-35 for a few thousand withdrawal.

It does affect repeat business in my opinion.

If this is true, I wouldn't use Skybook EVER. How can they ever justify only giving you 1k a week and charge that kind of juice. BYE SKYBOOK! Unless someone tells me this isn't true, I'm never using them again.

Good idea - I have sent Wil my details and will let you all know how it turns out.

Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that. I closed my account ther a few years ago because I had the same problem. I had been a loyal member for 10+ years from way back when they were Bet Rio.
They screwed me over twice and that was enough.
I suggest having Wilheim contact them and that you request a bank wire for the full ammount. Invoke the RX to help you here. If you check most of the other reputable sportsbooks they usually do not have a limit on bank wires.

good luck with that man..., hope you get your money asap..., probably they will be doing that due to the low season... i dont think a book will survive if customer knows that they will send only $1000 per week...

hope they change that... keep us posted..

No dice

Just to update you all, and despite Wil's help, skybook is not budging.

They are holding my high 4-figure balance and say that they can only parcel it out in small $1K portions every 7 days (if you believe them) and if that is not enough charge an outrageous 7% fee!

I don't think this is acceptable. Other books are able to pay me my full (significant) balances promptly and either free or with minimal charge.

Sad, but Skybook has turned out to be a great disappointment.

Good Luck to all

Most gamblers are degenerates and never see a withdrawal so i don't think $1000/wk limit matters anyway

Thanks Wil

Can't say enough about Wil or this forum. Even though he was not able to change anything, I do truly appreciate Wil's help. I know that his hand's were tied.

why do we keep getting restricted when money goes out!!! even though they have stated we could take out as much as we wanted!! I just dont get it! if there are any limits, this should be given to the customers.!!

Agree with you. This should be on their website. when I made my deposit(s), they assured me that they payout and fast!

I think they hope that I lose it all or wait till football season, because this is how long it is going to take me to get all my money out of there.

Sorry to hear Tkeller. Keep the information alive, I know I would be using the forums. I would be posting weekly reminding people what happened, and continue to let people know what Skybook is doing. I would then send every thread to Skybook showing that you are spreading the word, and make a demand. Maybe $20 fee instead of $70, or maybe $2500 a week instead of a thousand. Keep the pressure on and don't gamble it away. No use in gambling there, It's only going to take you longer to get it out if you win... It sounds like money problems but thats just a blind guess. Still, thank you for warning us. And keep on em.

Regarding Skybook, while I still have some contacts there, I could only make an appeal to them in behalf of Tkeller to make an exception in this particular case. Especially since they are no longer a sponsor here at The Rx.com. I was hoping that something could be done as a result of past dealings and good will. We both knew that the result was up to a review by Skybook management. Apparently the review was completed and TKeller was told he will have to live with the $1000 payments once a week and pay a separate fee for each one.

TKeller was a complete class act during all of our dealings and I sincerely regret not being in a position to help him despite the fact that I tried my best. I hope he knows that.

I really do feel badly when there is nothing I can do in situations like this.

You've been around awhile. Why not ask about withdrawal fee's before depositing? This is the exact reason i chose to pass on this book last time I was looking to fund.

Read now, save hassals later

sorry to hear this about skybook as have some money there and have not tried to withdraw; wonder do they do transfers with other books as will be getting my money out or losing it soon with this kind of arrangement. easy to deposit but hard to withdraw; sounds like a one way street to me.

Thanks. I have played here before and never had an issue before now.
When I made my most recent deposit(s), they did assure me that they paid fast. Also, I was able to deposit relatively easily and they of course treated me very well...

Lesson learned. I will not play here again and may not play anywhere else - I don't need this hassle and it seems there is no real guarantee that I won't have to go through this again somewhere else.

I don't know how anyone would play there. They are hoping the player loses the money and they are hammering him with large withdrawal fees. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOOK!

I'm either going to Skybook Live Chat, or emailing them to tell about everyone's dissatisfaction regarding their payout policy.
