    Sampras would have had maybe 8-10 majors if he played in any other era

    Serena wins tomorrow right , your girl? I see no way she loses. This other girl is good but wimbledon final is different when serena lost to her 6-2 6-2 at the french open 2nd rd. I can not see serena losing

    Should've waited until after the final to bump this thread.

    Ridiculous era. Federer, Nadal, and Djokovich have basically owned every Grand Slam of the last dozen years.

    Only others I can think of that have won are Murray once or twice, Warinka once, Del Potro once.

    Djokovich will end up with another 5 at least. He can still get a ton of points in Canada and Cincinatti too as he lost early in both of those last year.

    You know Nadal will make some type of comeback. Seems that is how he goes. Dominate for 8 or 9 months, then is hurt for 6.

    Spot on. Federer looked ridiculously inferior to Novak.

    The Joker is the best by far at the moment.

    You know things are bad for the men when Roger at 34 years old is the #2 seed.

    Above you said the Joker is good for another 5.......I say at least 8 more.....He`s only 28 years old.

    Rafa Nadal should be considered the greatest of all time, not Roger Federer, writes Jon Anderson

    RAFAEL Nadal is the greatest tennis player in history. Sounds funny, doesn’t it, but it’s hard to argue against when comparing his record with Roger Federer.

    The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) tag usually sits comfortably on Federer’s Swiss shoulders and is backed up by the opinions of superstars in Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe.
    And Federer has won the most Grand Slam singles of all time with 19, a total he has increased by two this year in his remarkable return from injury.
    But that tally of 19 suddenly looks decidedly precarious with Nadal five years younger at age 31 and only having to turn up to Roland Garros to win at least two or three more French Opens to add to his 16 Grand Slams.

    Spain's Rafael Nadal won grand slam title No 16 in New York as well as this year’s French Open
    Plus Nadal has won at all of the other three venues.
    If you are in the Nadal camp, you only have to point to his 23/14 dominant head-to-head record against his close friend as proof of his superiority.
    Yes, he leads 13/2 on his preferred surface of clay but has beaten Federer on grass at Wimbledon in 2008 which some still regard as the finest of all.

    Wimbledon this year was Federer’s 19th grand slam and second of the year.

    And he leads 8/5 on outdoor hard courts, as well as having a superior winning percentage at Grand Slam tournaments (87.26% to 86.21%) and a 6/3 winning record in Grand Slam finals.
    It’s why Andre Agassi regards him as superior: “I have to put Rafa on top because he is clearly superior when head to head,” said Agassi.
    In terms of tournaments won, Federer is third with 93 behind Jimmy Connors (109) and Ivan Lendl (94) with Nadal looming ominously on 74.
    Where Federer is clearly on top is his consistency at Grand Slam level, having reached a record 42 semi-finals (Nadal 26) and having spent a record amount of time at number one.
    But no matter how long he plays, and you don’t place time-spans on Roger, he’s never going to square the ledger with Rafa when going head and surely that should be the stat that matters most.

    Isn't like half of the top 10 injured.?

    not sure why tennis players are so soft but they are at every level. Missing 6 months for sprained hamstrings and stuff like that. Witnessed a kid in hs trip over the net and cried like a baby

    this is freak shit;

    36 yrs old, 2017 ytd numbers;

    48-5

    2 Grand Slam titles. 4-0 vs Nadal ytd

    with advancing age ya gotta ask...why is a guy still playing? monies is not an issue. WHY does he still play? only he can answer . But he does, with the believe he can still compete, improve. Tremendous. He has adapted, takes the ball so early and is super aggressive. Knew damn well cant compete from the baseline with Nadal, so why bother?- takes it early, And Nadal has no answer ....yet..

    Actually that Jon Anderson article was one of many making the same points. I stand by my statements. We'll see where they both end up at the end of their careers.

    we are waiting for FZ explanation as to why Agassi backed away.You see he posted, with tremendous confidence/pride that Fed is done, not the GOAT. Keep in mind, he MAY be, there may be another. But this anal-plug- using- devout Christian is not backing down. He has NO response as to why Agassi has recanted . Has ignored and is not available for comment.....'its we shall see'....... . I know, .....am having fun.......

    admittedly , I have fun with this FZ chap ( NOT good one me)_-- he is the hypocrisy of Christianity.

    The fact that you are bringing religion and anal plugs into the conversation, tells me that you are just a childish troll, so I'll have no further response to your inane blather.
