love this spot here @ this price. at first glance Oakland looks like a sharp play at + money with Anderson on the hill but after looking deeper in the game all signs point to Detroit. Anderson is making his 1st start after coming off the DL, manager Bob Guerin already said he will be on a pitch count of 75 pitches. With that Detroit line up and Anderson on a low pitch count the Tigers could be in the Oakland bullpen by the 5th inning. On the other side we have Porcello going, who got off to a dreadful start but seems like he has righted the ship going 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA in his last 3. Porcellos main pitch is a hard heavy sinker, something that is a big time disadvantage to Oakland, a line up that beats the ball into the ground and has a high rate of grounding out in the first place. A's are last in the league in home runs and I don't see them elevating Porcellos pitches at all...they continue to struggle hitting with RISP on the road as tonight they were 2-15 at one point. Expect more of the same this game.
