I bet $ 2,500 on the Vikings vs the Redskins in the late 80's, was winning the whole game, but two TD's in the last 4 minutes made me a loser. That was a sleepless night, I don't have those anymore.

I don't bet anywhere near that amount nowadays, unless I'm on a major run. There was a stretch in CBB a few years ago that I was winning at an amazing clip, and I was up to 2k per game. But then the house reduced my max to to $ 500.

I was chasing when I lost that $ 2,500 bet, I don't chase anymore.

few years back I bet $2000 on the Saints -1 over the Bucs before heading to a Ravens game.

was pretty drunk and seen my Saints bet lost so I got bitter after that and parlayed SD +3 and Over in the sunday nighter for $1500.

:ohno:, worst hangover ever the next day.

2006 $3,3XX.XX what ever the exact number was it was all of the money in my Bookmaker acct at the time and it was a 2 team ML parlay, I dont even remember who the other team was they were like -190 and the COLTS were -400, so the payoff was around 7000, which was the exact amount of cc debit I owed at the time so I figured win and thats all paid off... yep... the first team rolled the 1 pm game and game 2 was the COLTS ML vs. Cowboys went in 9-0, played like they were 0-9, then went on to win the SuperBowl... I was more pissed after the won the SuperBowl than after the inital loss.

Week 11: at Dallas Cowboys
1 2 3 4 Total
Colts 0 7 7 0 14
Cowboys 0 0 7 14 21

at Texas Stadium, Irving, Texas

Game time: 4:15 p.m. EST/3:15 p.m. CST
Game weather: 63 °F, Clear Skies
Game attendance: 63,706
Referee: Bill Vinovich
TV announcers (CBS): Jim Nantz and Phil Simms

The Colts suffered their first defeat of the season, 21-14, at the hand of the Dallas Cowboys and became the last team to lose during the 2006 NFL season. The game was full of turnovers, and neither team could take care of the scoring opportunities. Colts QB Peyton Manning threw two interceptions and one of those was returned for a touchdown by Cowboys OLB Kevin Burnett early in the second half. The first quarter was back-and-forth as each possession ended with turnover after turnover. After Cowboys QB Tony Romo was sacked by DE Dwight Freeney, Colts WR Marvin Harrison fumbled, and after the Cowboys punted, Manning was sacked by Jay Ratliff and Bradie James recovered the fumble. After a couple punts by both teams, Peyton Manning & Co. pushed the Cowboys deep in their own territory thanks to the great rushing by rookie RB Joseph Addai. The Colts reached the 4 yard line, and on third down, Manning attempted a pass to the endzone, but in a controversial situation, SS Roy Williams nudged TE Dallas Clark near the end zone, and while Clark fell down, Williams intercepted a Peyton Manning pass for the second time in his career, and gave the Cowboys the ball at their own 7 yard line. The Cowboys scored all of their points in the second half after a first half that was full of turnovers.

Colts QB Peyton Manning went 20 of 39 for 254 passing yards with two touchdown passes and two interceptions, Cowboys QB Tony Romo was 19 of 23 with 226 passing yards and had one interception. Colts WR Reggie Wayne had 7 catches for 111 yards, and Cowboys RB Julius Jones rushed the football 22 times for 79 yards. Also of note, former Colts kicker Mike Vanderjagt missed two of his three field goals during the game.

think it was Boston vs. Tigers back in 2004. D. Young walk off home run, Tigers win, was like -300 or something on boston.

I was at that game ST. The Vikings KO return man fumbled the opening KO in the 2nd half and then the next one giving the Giants to quick TD's to start the 2nd H.

It was a beautiful day, and the rain starting pouring in the 2h. Me and Richie99 bet the Vikings too. After all this time, I learn it was all your fault for making the biggest bet of your life.~~:<<

I bet $8000 on the Mavericks to beat the Heat a couple of years ago in the NBA finals. My whole plan from the start was that I would hedge money on Miami if Dallas won the first 2 games at home so I would at least get my money back. Well, Dallas won the first 2 at home. I was going to hedge Miami to win in 6 and 7 games for $500 each which would have given me at least my $8000 back. I changed my mind at the last minute after reading a bunch of stuff and figuring that Miami would never win 4 straight against Dallas and why waste the $500. I thought that if they won the series they would do so in 7 games. In game 3, Dallas had a 13 point lead with 5 minutes to go at Miami. Miami came back and won in overtime and won the series in 6 games. By changing my mind I lost everything for a total of $8500. I was so pissed that I changed my mind and didn't bet Miami to win in 6 games. I bet a few other games for $5000 which I lost. Those bets were way more than I should have bet for someone with my income. Neteller made it way too easy in my case to transfer a good amount of money in and out and it cost me a lot.

had a 2 team parlay about a month ago, mothers day maybe? rockies and giants ML parlay...... giants beat the mets and the rockies were playing the dodgers it was kershaw vs jimenez, jimenez gave up a bloop single in the 4th inning that scored a run..put 950 down and i believe the payout was close to 3grand, it was a huge wager i thought it was a lock to hit. it was mothers day so once i saw the giants had won, i could not hedge me bet because i was with my family and had no access to a sportsbook that quickly. that was torcher for me

My biggest bet was back in 2007, Under 5.5 runs (1st 5 innings) for the MLB allstar game in SF. After watching the HR derby and seeing the shadows in the infield, I even put more money down and in retrospect I bet far more than I should have in relation to my bankroll.
The score after the 1st 5 inn. was 2:1 after Ichiro hit an 2-run inside the park HR for the AL in the 5th inn., so I won that one rather easily, but that game drove me crazy because every baserunner got my heart rate up quite a bit.

2nd biggest probably was game 3 Heidenheim Heidekoepfe vs Dortmund Wanderers in the 1st round of German Baseball Bundesliga playoffs: Expected HEI to win that game easily, even pictured them winning by mercyrule (winning margin of 10+ after 7 or 8inn.) and was waiting for a runline somewhere around -6.5. Pinnacle then opened the game -1.5 and I probably made about 30 string bets before they took the game off board and tried to get as much money down as I could at bwin, too.
Game ended with a 13:0 win by HEI after 7 innings.

Biggest loss probably was Oregon State in the LV bowl last december, was way too high on the PAC10 early on in bowl season and paid for it...

Only if I'd of had enough money to end with a profit no matter who won, I wouldn't hedge to get some of my money back IF a 9-0 Colts team gets beat, Manning was torching teams that year and the Cowboys were 5-4 and had lost 3 of 5, with one of the 2 wins vs. HOU and HOU in 2006 was still bottom of the league...
