The Phillies have been playing some poor baseball of late while the Braves are heading in the opposite direction. Even without this recent cold streak, the Phillies have been a .500 team on the road, while the Braves have one of the best home records in baseball at 18-6. While Lowe has been helped of late by consecutive starts against the Pirates, Kendrick has been unimpressive outside of his last start and will certainly give up some runs today. Ride the hot team on get-away-day.

Padres/Mets under 6.5, 3 wins 2.4

Santana has been lights out in May and that won't change today at Petco against the Padres. Clayton Richard, who was taken deep twice by Ryan Zimmerman in his last start, had pieced together three excellent starts prior to facing Washington. At home, if he's able to keep the ball in the park, the Padres will have a chance to escape a Santana start with a victory in a low scoring tight game.

Brewers -127, 3.81 wins 3

The Brewers pitching staff has been one of the worst in the league. The starting pitching, the bullpen, the closer situation... it's been a tough go-round for Milwaukee. Regardless, Yovani Gallardo gives them a chance to win every time he takes the mound. He's been excellent in the month of May and if he's able to gather his control, he's unhittable. Volstad has been solid of late, though he's received the loss in all three of those starts. I see Gallardo stepping up tonight before handing the ball off to Axford, who will close it out.
