Philly is showing some signs of life, but Atlanta has the best home record in baseball and is probably the hottest team in baseball right now. No way am I betting against them.

Braves bats have been on fire, and Phils bats might be on to something. I'm leaning OVER, but will probably lay off.

I just took atlanta. Riding the hot team vs. a top-heavy phils lineup. Lowe has had 2 bad starts vs. the phils this year but hoping his recent form is more an indication of what we will see today. Also wouldn't expect this slumping phils team to get to lowe as easily as they did the first two times out. Lowe does have very good career numbers vs. everyone in the phils lineup except Utley.

guys something to think about....I would not play the under if you had a gun to my head. This is a day game in Atlanta. the ball absolutely sails out of that place in the day games...

I'm a little baffled by your comment and the one by Mobdeeper.

What is it that makes you think "the Phils bats might be on to something". They have not scored more than 3 runs in 10 games. In addition, their batting average is .192 versus righties and .229 versus lefties over the last 10. That doesn't sound like showing signs of life (especially with a lineup as potent as there's....sounds to me like they're in a funk).

Mobdeeper...I am seeing 60% on the "over" and 40% on the "under". Is that really cause to say "the public is all over the over".

Just looking at facts guys (not being critical). Would love to hear the insights if I am missing something.

Of course now that's I've said this, watch the Phils score 12 today and crush the Braves.

I like the Phils at a generous +120 here.
Anytime I can get a team at +120 where I think the game should be +100 either side, I'll take it.

It's "getaway" day for the braves who embark on an 11 game road trip starting tomorrow in LA. (I could be wrong but i would expect they might rest a couple of position players ??? )

2 decent pitchers (despite kendrick's era) who should'nt give up many walks , and a pitcher friendly umpire in jeff kellogg behind the plate.

... imo this game has all the earmarkings of an under special.

I do too but Werth leading off and Francisco protecting Howard is scary.
